When you know that everyone does the best they know how to try to meet their needs, and you work to connect with your and their needs, you can create win-win communication.  Yes, we all have disappointments. AND if we didn't take things personally, we could accept, accommodate, live with whatever is in our lives.
Let's take these two hours to delve into our celebrations and mournings and concerns about whatever comes up when we think about the holidays and the year ahead.  Expect to feel heard around your values.

And let's work to understand how others are reacting to the impacts of the holiday season, the economy, and the future.

Points

  • • Honest communication about how the holidays and the economy and thoughts of the new year impact us
  • • Self-empathy for our own and others' unmet needs
  • • Feelings and needs around this time of year and our wishes to connect with people who matter to us

Who is it for?

Anyone who finds the holidays or the thoughts of the new year troublesome or less than wonderful to anticipate.
Anyone who wants to practice ways to be happy and to focus on what is working rather than what is not working in their lives.

What to bring:

Pen and paper and a desire to connect with our own and other people's needs around the holidays and the new year.
