Spend two hours with Sarah learning what the newest research into our brains shows about how we create new neural pathways for one another as we hold each other with compassion. Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) is the field of study that integrates the flowering of brain research of the last 2 decades. It studies the way the brain grows and is influenced by personal relationships throughout the lifespan. IPNB draws from the fields of neuroscience, psychology, complexity theory, and relationship studies. Other related fields of study include, affective neuroscience, social neuroscience and social cognitive neuroscience. The interpersonal neurobiology perspective extends from the intricacies of neurobiology to the level of the interpersonal world. Sarah brings the research in this field to life with exercises and stories. Prepare for a fun, lively, informative evening. Sarah Peyton, independent facilitator from Vancouver, WA, teaches Compassionate Communication interwoven with IPNB from Alaska to Oregon, in weekend workshops, teleclasses and evening classes, for private people, in schools, businesses, churches, to parent groups and in prison, and is currently working on an IPNB certificate from Portland State University. She has attended multiple year-long and residential NVC trainings, and is a family and parent coach. In making offerings, she is thoroughly committed to every voice mattering, and to the principles of inquiry and mindful learning. |
