This 2-month program integrates the psychosocial, emotional aspect of eating and the conscious intake of eating. Some of the resources include Sylvia Haskvitz’ book: ‘Eating by Choice and Not by Habit’, and the universal human needs consciousness based on Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication.
Upcoming Information Sessions: Wednesday, January 27th 2010: 6.00 - 8.00 pm "We don't have to improve ourselves; we just have to let go of what blocks our heart." ~Jack Kornfield Food is a means to treat our body. Many of us are habitually at war with our bodies (Sylvia Haskvitz). We treat our bodies in ways that we would never consider treating anyone else. Many times, we are substituting food as a strategy to meet our universal human needs. Needs for love, care, intimacy, comfort, just to name a few. Unfortunately many of us are stuck in an eating pattern that we are not conscious or fully aware of. Negative self-talk, convincing ourselves into denying food cravings, 'shoulding' ourselves (I should have not or I should have ...), are established patterns that have been serving us some how in our lives. A part in us thrives by the choices we are making or have made. There are other parts in us that are hurting with these choices and wanting some recognition as well. Eat by Choice is a transformational workshop that will take you through a process of more deeply understanding your relationship with food. We embark on a journey together uncovering habits and building new strategies to produce intended results. Throughout these 2 months I guide you along a path of introspection, connection and transformation. My intention is to inspire you to deepen your self-awareness and to connect with your inner power, your own food and body wisdom. Our time together unfolds into a fun and educational experience. Your experience involves: ~ 1 day retreat (Friday, 3/12, 9.30 am - 4.30 pm) EXTRA BONUS: *face to face: Thursdays: 3/25, 4/8, 4/22, 5/6, 6.30 pm - 9.15 pm
The framework and the support is in place, you just provide the commitment. In this course you will gain insights transforming your life one thought and bite at a time. PLEASE COME TO ONE OF OUR INFORMATION SESSIONS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT YOURSELF AND THE COURSE! |
