Details

Holidays are frequently a time when we gather with those we share the most history with - which can be both a joy and a tribulation!  Come explore family relationships with us in this introduction to Compassionate Communication (NVC). First we will differentiate between our basic human needs and the individual ways we attempt to get our needs met, and then we will explore how to increase compassion for ourselves and others using personal stories as a guide. People new to NVC will glimpse a vision of how the model can work, and those who are already familiar with the model will gain practice in putting it to use.

Erika Jennings is a graduate of BayNVC's Parent Peer Leadership Program.  She has studied NVC for over five years and has facilitated introductions, workshops and practice groups in schools, churches and parent support  groups.  She studied with Marshall Rosenberg directly at an International Intensive Training (IIT) and is currently enrolled in a second NVC Facilitator Training Program under the leadership of Mary MacKenzie.
