| This will be a small group of eight people. We will meet formally once or twice a day to share and learn. The rest of the time we will be doing activities as a group such as snorkling, and walking on the beach. As we go about the day we will practice speaking giraffe to each other and to people we meet along the way. Won't it be fun to only speak in terms of empathy and honesty to the extent that we want to? For instance when the waiter asks us what we want to order we can say, "Are you courious and need information so you can get your job done?" (In NVC we don't answer a question until we understand the need of the person asking it.) We will practice applying the principles of NVC to everything we do and will experince what comes out of that. It will be like a living laboratory. So I hope you join me for a really fun retreat.
