• Do you sometimes feel trapped or find yourself worried about being alone? • Do you want to make a difference in the world by being authentic? • Interested in communication tools that promote connection in times of conflict? • Do you strive for personal growth and freedom of choice? • Longing for more inner peace and less struggle? This is a unique opportunity to learn the foundations of Nonviolent Communication, speaking your truth honestly and with compassion and listening empathically to what's in the heart of any message in one weekend.People who have mastered this language report increased aliveness, joy, happiness and a greater sense of safety. There will be plenty of opportunity to practice, using meaningful examples from your own life, including family life, work life, partnership, and social change. Class format includes instruction, individual work, small group and large group practice. Most of the learning is experiential and draws on examples from participants’ lives. About John “Pan” Chamberlin Expanding your capacity for mutual, heartfelt exchanges based on the principles of Nonviolent CommunicationSM, Pan is an expert facilitator with the ability to help you resolve communication issues at their core. During workshops and private sessions, he provides tools designed to transform judgment and blame into a more compassionate framework of observations, needs, feelings, and requests that allows you to avoid conflict. With John’s help, you learn that feelings and needs – your own and those of the people you love – are true gifts, with the potential to make every relationship infinitely richer. PSNCC Certified NVC Trainer, Candidate for Certification in Nonviolent Communications Training with the Center for Nonviolent Communication On Friday night we will spend time on an introduction to Nonviolent Communications to get everyone going. This will be a good time to ask any questions that may have come up from reading the book. On Saturday morning we will use NVC to see within ourselves the beauty of who we are by practicing the art of self empathy. This process will include comprehension, demonstration and practice with the support of small groups. On Saturday afternoon we will use NVC to deepen our intimate relations with family. We will come to see the beauty of the fun - and the beauty of the not so fun - aspects of relationship. Then we will finish the day using NVC for healing emotional wounds and freeing blocks. We are offering this three day format to provide a solid foundation for a lifelong practice of Nonviolent Communication; however this is just the beginning. |
