The morning, hosted by The Freedom Project, will be used to demonstrate the power of NVC to transform shame, anger, and depression into life-serving compassion.
Marshall will be working with volunteers who have been in prison to illustrate this process. The roots of anger that create violence and depression throughout our culture will be probed and the process of transforming our thoughts and belief systems will be explored. In order to create change in the world we must first create change in ourselves. In the afternoon we will expand on how to create peace within ourselves and others and how to put our personal vision, power and compassion into action in order to contribute to others and to society. The Freedom Project uses NVC in prisons to help individuals grow "from prisoner to peacemaker." |
