TBA - depending on how many, may be a home or a public meeting place.

Date and Time:

   Sat, Oct 1, 2005

10:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Details

We'll walk through and work through a painful past (or present) situation, whether as a child or an adult. Focusing first on our own need that wasn't met, we'll practice self-empathy and work within the group to come to a place of connection with the needs the other person may have been trying to meet.
With a demo and role plays, we'll practice expressing honesty. Then we'll  offer empathy to that person, and receive empathy for our own feelings and needs.

We'll discuss forgiveness of self and others, and explore tools for staying present through honesty and empathy

Points

  • - Focus on our unmet needs from a past or present unresolved situation.
  • - Receive empathy for ourselves for the need we were wanting to meet.
  • - Practice relating to the other person's needs, and offering empathy.
  • - Explore the role of forgiveness and self-talk in dealing with difficult feelings and unmet needs.
