What can you expect from this training?
You can expect to explore the following:

Connect to the needs beneath your most challenging behaviors
Learn and practice responding compassionately to the things you find hardest to hear NVC and mediation.  Learn the fine art of "poking your nose into other people's business" (informal mediation) as well as NVC and mediation in formal situations
If you share NVC with others, have the opportunity to share your unique way of doing this to inspire others, and to get feedback and support in dealing with your biggest challenges
NVC and healing. Use the present moment to help resolve the unresolved past.
Working with "enemy images".  Explore the most important internal part of NVC as an element of social change.  This will take you to your edge...
All of the above in a like-minded community

Points

  • Many of you either know personally or know the name of Lucy Leu.  Lucy co-created the Puget Sound Network for Compassionate Communication, edited Marshall's book, wrote the NVC Companion Workbook, inspired and helped found the Freedom Project, served on the board of CNVC, holds a black belt in Aikido, taught at IIT's with Marshall, is part of the team that certifies trainer candidates and, is one of the true otters of the universe when it comes to having fun.  This will be Lucy's last public training before she takes a year long (at least) sabbatical.
  • Barbara Larson is also well known in NVC circles.  Another of the co-creaters of PSNCC and an otter second to none, Barbara, in addition to doing her own trainings, has served on the CNVC board, taken the helm of fundraising for CNVC, works with Lucy in the trainer certification process compassionately evaluating prospective trainers, is Marshall's scheduler, travels worldwide to keep a finger on the pulse of NVC here and abroad and is at the helm of PSNCC where she is a beloved trainer and mentor to many an up and coming NVC trainer.
  • Douglas Dolstad has conducted trainings all over the northwest since 1998 in a variety of settings and most recently was the lead trainer at the very successful PSNCC-NVC Family Camp. He has trained "inside" with the Freedom Project and is part of the "guts" of PSNCC serving for several years on the PSNCC Coordinating Council.  With a background in music and theatre, he brings a serious levity to his trainings and has helped mentor several trainer candidates through the certification process.

Who is it for?
