Do you dread reading the newspaper? Are you filled with anger and numbness when you think about today's newsmakers? We'll practice an "NVC way" to percieve and process the daily news. I'll bring a real live daily newspaper with me and we will translate articles into underlying feelings and needs-delete all analysis, moralistic judgments, advice, etc. Part of the day will probably be spent on guessing empathy for George Bush and Bombers. Part of the day will probably be spent giving each other empathy about our reactions to the news.

Who is it for?

Please be familiar/fluent with the basic NVC model. Observation/Feeling/Need/Request. My preference is that attendees have attended an NVC intro and/or have practiced self-empathy for a month or more.

What to bring:

Lunch, or money for lunch. Your favorite newspaper.
