This series of workshops in Eugene, Oregon includes a short introduction to Nonviolent Communication on Friday night, a day-long workshop on Saturday about learning to relate to oneself in a more caring and empowering way, and a day-long workshop on Sunday about learning to relate to others in ways that create more satisfaction and aliveness for all involved. Participants may sign up for the whole weekend, or any part.
A Taste of Nonviolent CommunicationFriday April 26 - 7:00-9:00 pmNonviolent Communication (NVC) offers powerful tools for relating to self, others and life in more satisfying ways. It can support us in experiencing more ease, flow and joy, support emotional healing, and transform conflicts. This evening workshop will provide a taste of some key ideas that help make this practice so powerful. The format includes both conceptual material and experiential exercises. How we relate to ourselves is the foundation of our well-being. In this workshop, we will look at the why and how of being radically gentle with and kind to ourselves -- being a loving companion to ourselves. Are you as close to other people as you would like to be? Are there relationships that are more distant, frustrating or combative than you would like? Would you like to have more ease, flow and aliveness in your relationships? In this workshop, we will explore, conceptually and experientially, some key ideas that affect how we relate to others.
