Becoming What We Need
A Somatic Approach for Embodying Nonviolent Communication

Personal Practices for Deepening Relationships

Building depthful relationships are challenging to be sure. Consciously engaged, their intensity can shed light on places inside you that lead to healing and a truer understanding of unconditional love. Body awareness practices integrated with Nonviolent Communication’s brilliant linguistic skills bring focus and intention to finding your voice with power and compassion within the bonds of relationships. Learn physical, emotional, linguistic and energetic practices that transform old habits and reactions into resources for self-healing and connection.  These skills are essential for any of us who want to deepen the quality of our relationships, generate community, cultivate reverence for the sacred, and effect positive change — whether it’s personal, social, environmental, or political.

Develop your empathic listening faculties
Cultivate a centered presence in stressful times;
Make decisions and take actions that align with your values;
Nurture intimate connections and cultivate community.
The underlying principle of these programs is that to live fully in relationship, we must live more fully in our bodies. Studies show that on average, it takes anywhere from two months to eight months to embody a new habit. Each month we meet to develop new habits and skills, that organize around:

Embodying Nonviolent Communication from the inside out
Somatic Consensus- Integration and working with trauma
Our monthly sessions attune to the cycles of the seasons to shed light on the transitions and rhythms of learning, life, and love. In particular, our winter sessions organize around touching into our internal landscapes, intrinsic motivation, commitments, beginnings, and endings.
