Details

It is the 19th Season of Nonviolence- 64 days marking the anniversary deaths of Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. commemorating the vision of these extraordinary peacemakers. As Gandhi would say, "Be the change we wish to see in the world." How do we 'be peace' in the midst of conflict and live from our values with compassion and our understanding of our interconnectedness?

In this three hour introduction to Nonviolent Communication, we will explore tools, as developed by Marshall B. Rosenberg, PhD, to hone in on the consciousness of nonviolence and to communicate it.  How do we speak our truth that will most likely be received? How do we listen to another with compassion when we are triggered, without getting into anger, blame, or defensiveness? How do we build trust and goodwill to resolve conflict in ways that work for everyone? Come join us for an afternoon of exploring these concepts.

Who is it for?

Anyone who would like to learn how to communicate more effectively. This is a basic introduction to Nonviolent Communication.
