Details

   Empathy is an innate human quality—one we all possess. But skillful empathic listening is an art, and it requires practice!

Join me for a facilitated Empathy Practice Space where you’ll reconnect with the art of deep active listening, and get some hands-on practice in a nonjudgmental environment. We’ll begin with a few minutes of mindfulness to cultivate presence and focus together. I’ll walk one volunteer through a live empathic listening demo, highlighting some key principles and tools to be aware of, and then you’ll have the opportunity to practice with a partner—both to hear, and to be heard. I’ll offer the option of informal coaching and feedback as I move around the room observing.

  This practice space is designed for graduates of Erin’s 8-Week Essentials of Compassionate Communication Series, and folks with significant familiarity and experience with NVC. If you are not a graduate of Erin’s series, please inquire before registering.
