There is a reason we do what we do (say what we say) even when it isn't congruent with our values and integrity. Usually it has something to do with our past and some trauma we have experienced. The brain has a way of storing this experience. One of our goals will be to understand this process and re train our brain to unlock that patterned response. We will also seek to understand and connect with those parts of us that seem to be so annoying and or ineffective. Have you noticed a pattern of saying (or doing) things you immediately regretted thinking "That's not me!" Or, "Why did I say that?" " I can't believe I did that....again!!!! We will spend time gaining a better understanding of why this happens, and seek to transform these patterns (wounds) into our strengths (gifts). |
