Note: My "style" of empathic presence is a 'blend' of all the life experience including many other modalities as well as direct learning and practice (over 500 hours) with Marshal Rosenberg, developer of Nonviolent Communication.

I've found it personally useful to have a special notebook only for these calls. You might want to do that as well? I write down each person's name and where they are calling from and something about what they want known about themselves at the beginning of the call (including myself). It helps me to hold everyone with loving care. I also do my best to find a quiet space and ask others not to talk with me during the call so that I can focus all my attention on us. Sometimes I'm impelled to draw a picture while we're talking and if I do, to share it with everyone by taking a picture of the picture to share. :-)

To my surprise my need for a big leap was met. There wasn’t a class where I didn’t takeaway something golden. At the end of the last of the eight classes, I had a powerful awareness: That my consciousness changed. I was different. A good different. A kinder person. Also, I love that Mair was always (well, nothing is 100% but she was darn close) 'available' to go with the flow (and she did). Even though there was a useful plan, when something more alive showed up, she was on it. She spotted it. She was right now and went with it. I love this because it kept the class up and dynamic; it met my need for LIFE itself.
