How do we bridge that gap between us and them, the sense that we are separate from each other? How do we inspire peace, understanding, and generosity of spirit when we have of anger, fear, or hate. How do we create lasting change? It takes compassion, intention, courage, and concrete tools to build what Dr. King called the Beloved Community. In honor of the 18th Annual Season of Nonviolence, Freedom Project is offering a full day introductory workshop to learn the tools of Nonviolent Communication, as developed by Marshall Rosenberg, PhD. This language is used globally in many high-conflict areas to build cooperation and peace, and is what we teach in Washington State prisons to support the transformation of prisoners and their families. Every person can move the world in the direction of peace through his or her daily nonviolent choice and action. Freedom Project is committed to create thriving community based on consciousness and genuine safety through connection. We believe every human being has dignity and worth.
The season of Nonviolence is inspired by the memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr.
