Details

Nonviolent Communication provides a consciousness and a map for Mindful Speech.  Speaking and listening from presence is a powerful way to bring your meditation practice or mindful intention to your everyday life and act in alignment with your values, live your life to the fullest and decrease suffering for yourself and others.  Explore specific ways to listen and practice the  “deep listening” that Thich Nhat Hanh encourages us to use.
In this 8 week series you will have the chance to learn the consciousness Nonviolent Communication is based on, the 4 pieces of the language component that are portals to connection, and the 3 ways that we can choose connection and nonviolence at any time.  Through discussion, pair work, small groups and experiential exercises, learn daily practices to integrate Nonviolence at a whole new level.  You will also have the chance to participate in biweekly or monthly practice groups following the series to further integrate the tools into the real world.

Who is it for?

This class is for you if…

You are interested in ways to increase your ability to be present with whatever life brings.
You are interested in a map to help you listen in ways that bring connection and compassion AND speak in ways that lead to understanding.
You have a meditation practice and you’d like to expand it into all parts of your life (although meditation is not a required pre-requisite).
