Details

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is grounded in the principles of nonviolence: the natural state of compassion when no violence is present in the heart. The practice of NVC brings more connection with authenticity and joy into ones daily life. After an experiential introduction to using practical tools in everyday interactions, Liv will share ways to bring these tools into mediations, whether you are an official mediator for two disputants, are informally "sticking your nose in others business," or are mediating between two sides within yourself.

NVC offers practical skills for achieving the quality of connection that makes finding solutions to conflicts possible and often easy. People who practice NVC have found greater authenticity in their communication, increased understanding, deeper connection and satisfying conflict resolution.

This is a fundraising workshop for the Dispute Resolution Center of Thurston County.  Come and support this community based mediation non profit organization and learn the life serving (and sometime life changing) skills of Nonviolent Communication.

Who is it for?

All are welcome.  The workshop is designed for mediators and for those who have no interest in mediating.
