Details

   Are you wondering:
•    If you’ve outgrown your perception of what’s possible and you are about to sprout a new life?
•    How to navigate the internal transition that accompanies the outer changes in your life?
•    Where the path lies toward wholeness and health?

Mary and Kathleen have personally walked through numerous life transitions during the past two years. Between us, we have lost 3 parents, three other family members, and close friends; reevaluated the way we work in the world; physically moved to a different state; had a child move away from home; reevaluated old relationships and created new ones; implemented a full-scale company reorganization; stripped away layers of masks that have hidden our authenticity; and accompanied others through major life transitions of their own.  The journey through transitions continues as we still find ourselves offering companionship to family and friends living with terminal illnesses and other significant life-altering changes.

Two qualities keep emerging through it all: Courage and Grace.

We invite you to join us, not for a typical workshop, but for a living experience of meeting your current life transition with courage and grace.  You’ll come away with practical ideas to live each day feeling deeply connected to what matters most and caring for yourself in ways that are not only healing, but sustainable.

Points

  • Together, with the support of a nurturing community, we will explore:

  • How to grieve fully to enhance and expedite your healing

What to bring:

  Location:
Join us on Bainbridge Island at Kathleen’s beautiful light-filled Strength of Connection office. The address is: 187 Parfitt Wy SW, Ste G100, Bainbridge Is, WA 98110 (directions at www.StrengthofConnection.com).

Bainbridge Island is 35 min. away from downtown Seattle by ferry. Once the ferry docks, all that you will need for your time on Bainbridge is within walking distance. It is about a 15 minute walk to Kathleen’s waterfront gathering space. Several restaurants and coffee shops are within a few blocks. Evenings may be spent nurturing yourself or building community with other NVC workshop participants at the local fitness center, movie theaters, walking near the marina, canoeing (well, maybe not in January!) or just strolling around downtown.

Getting from SeaTac airport to the Bainbridge Island ferry:
●    There is a light rail that leaves from the airport terminal (it’s a short walk in a covered area that takes about 40 minutes to get to the Pioneer Square station. From there it is a 10 minute walk to the WA State Ferry Seattle/Bainbridge Is run (http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/schedule/). The light rail costs $2.50.
●    If you prefer to take a limo that picks you up at baggage claim and drops you off at the ferry terminal, Imperial Towncar is very reliable (206-244-3800). The cost is about $30 per person. If you are in groups of 2-3-4 there is a discount (such as $40 for 2 persons, $45 for 3. Call for a quote as I’m not sure of the pricing). It takes about 20 minutes from the airport to the ferry terminal.
●    The taxis from the airport to the ferry terminal are about $40 and provide the same service as Imperial Towncar.

Accommodations
The closest overnight accommodations are available at the Eagle Harbor Inn -- which is two-blocks away.  To take a look at their accommodations go to www.theeagleharborinn.com.  You can make your reservations by phone, at 206 842-1446. The Inn offers hotel rooms, suites, and townhomes for groups of four to six. Mention you are attending a workshop with Kathleen and they usually offer a 20% discount.

There are two other places to stay that are about ¾ of a mile away from Kathleen’s office and the ferry:
●    The Best Western Bainbridge Island, 350 NE High School Road, Bainbridge Island, Washington, 98110, Phone: 206/855-9666, Toll Free Reservations: 866-396-9666.
