Details

   Participants will learn the neurobiology of the adolescent brain so as to understand the vulnerabilities and potential  risks along with the potential for learning that teens have.  A majority of the workshops will be focused on learning
how to support teens by learning empathy. Participants will learn the 5 most important tips for parenting teens.  Time will be spent on understanding the key principles and intentions of Nonviolent Communication and learning and practicing the 4 parts of Nonviolent Communication language. Participants will be able to practice three choices we have in our communication:  self-empathy, empathy and honesty.    Through experiential exercises and practice with others, participants will learn how to be in relationship with teenagers in a way that will maintain connection and promote understanding.
