Details

   This is an introduction to the process created by Marshall Rosenberg (NVC, Compassionate communication). This class will offer a brief history, a comprehensive overview of the process, as well as experiential practice. Walk away with a new view of how we can grow in our ability to connect and contribute through our words and actions, and tools that you can use.

  • Practice finding what's most valuable to you, and how to speak it in ways that you are more likely to be heard (compassionate honesty).
  • Practice listening/empathy skills.
  • Transform blame and criticism, find the intrinsic values expressed underneath.
  • A chance to work with a live situation in your own life.

Who is it for?

  Anyone who is interested in Nonviolent communication, interested generally in communication/conflict resolution.

What to bring:

  You are welcome to bring a brown bag lunch, or there are many places in Fremont (about a 10 minute walk from Freedom project Office). Notebook if you want to take notes.
